Psychotherapy Supervision for Ontario Therapists
My approach to clinical supervision is relational, reflective, and rooted in a strong foundation of psychodynamic, attachment-based, and humanistic principles. I believe that just as healing in therapy happens in the context of safe, attuned relationships, so too does growth in supervision. I aim to create a space where supervisees feel supported in bringing not just their clinical questions, but also their internal experiences — doubts, emotions, reactions, and patterns — into our work together. Supervision with me involves more than skill-building; it’s also about deepening self-awareness, strengthening clinical judgment, and integrating your personal and professional identity as a therapist.
Clinical Supervision Offerings
My Approach to Trauma-Informed Supervision
I use a T.E.A.M.-based framework in supervision — Teaching, Evaluating, Assuring, and Mentoring — which allows me to respond to the evolving developmental needs of each supervisee. In early stages, this may include more structured teaching of clinical skills and active feedback. As confidence grows, our work may shift toward collaborative case conceptualization, exploring transference/countertransference dynamics, and building comfort with nuance, ambiguity, and complexity. Evaluation and accountability are ongoing and collaborative processes, always held with transparency and care. I strive to offer feedback in a way that is both clear and compassionate, with the goal of building confidence, encouraging reflection, and supporting professional integrity.
Mentoring is at the heart of my supervision style — helping therapists become more fully themselves in their clinical work. This includes exploring your unique voice and values as a therapist, navigating the emotional demands of the profession, and building a sustainable and meaningful relationship with the work. I welcome discussion around the personal, symbolic, and systemic dimensions of practice, and I hold cultural humility and awareness of power and privilege as essential parts of the supervisory relationship.
Whether you're beginning clinical work or are further along in your journey, my intention is to offer a supervisory space that feels safe, engaged, and alive — one that fosters insight, growth, and integrity in your development as a therapist.
