WHO DO YOU WORK WITH AND WHAT CONDITIONS CAN YOU HELP WITH?
I work with people coming in with various needs. My practice is LGBTQI2-S, poly and kink friendly, and I do my work to be an ally to the BIPOC community.
I identify as an HSP and work with neurodivergent clients (i.e. ADHD, ASD, SPD and HSP) around education, understanding & acceptance, as well as advocacy in figuring out how to make the world work for you,
I have experience in treating trauma/PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I also work with dealing with substance use and abuse. I take a harm reduction approach in order to empower you to change the behaviours, thoughts and actions that you want, so you can live your best life.
WHERE IS YOUR PRACTICE LOCATED?
Currently my practice is all virtual. I accept clients from anywhere in Ontario, and from some* other provinces & territories. (*depending on local regulations)
When it is safe to return to in-person counselling I will be relocating to a new office space on the west of downtown Toronto (Bloor West /High Park Area).
Moving forward, I will maintain an online practice for those that find this more convenient and accessible.
Is my therapy taxed?
At this time, the Canadian government still requires that Registered Psychotherapists and Counsellors collect GST/HST for their services. We believe this is an unjust tax and are working on petitioning the government on this. If you would like to join us in this or learn more, you can sign the petition and see the work being done here:

WHAT TECHNIQUES DO YOU USE?
I have foundational training in both psychodynamic and transpersonal approaches. I base a lot of my work on the relational and humanistic components of therapy, including attachment theory. I include somatic interventions in order to get the body and mind reconnected. While I am trained in CBT/ACT skills, this is not a primary focus for my practice. I use these skills as needed to support the deeper work we'll be doing.
For my couples I have training in Relational LIfe Therapy (RLT Level 1), and pull from both Gottman and EFT as well. More about these different approaches here.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST SESSION?
Prior to starting therapy I will send you an online intake form that you can complete ahead of time. This includes a consent form and comprehensive medical and personal history forms. We will go over consent, confidentiality and any other questions together, in our first session, to ensure you understand and feel comfortable. Bring with you any questions, concerns, an open mind, and we'll get started.
